Installing SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services on Vista Ultimate

When installing SQL Server 2005 on Vista Ultimate, you will receive the following warning from the Program Compatibility Assistant. You will receive this warning several times. This is normal. Click the "Run program" button to proceed.

If you haven't configured IIS for Reporting Services you will receive a warning at the System Configuration Check.

The solution is found at Microsoft Support - a KB entitled How to install SQL Server 2005 Reporting Services on a Windows Vista-based computer. Open Control Panel, Programs and Features, click the "Turn Windows features on or off" link, and configure as shown:

You have to restart the SQL Server 2005 installation. When the System Configuration Check runs again, all should be well:

Congratulations! You can now install SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) on Vista Ultimate!
