Mastering Visual Studio 2008 Team System Database Edition Volume 1: Creating and Deploying Database Projects is about to be released. I'm excited about this series of books on Database Development using Database Edition.

This forum is for your questions about Database Edition or the series of e-books. Let's get started!

    Couple of quick questions -

    1.  Size (<100 pages, 100-250 pages, >250)?
    2. Target audience?  Total newbie?  Junior?  Mid-range? Higher?
    3. How many expected volumes in future?  What will be covered in them?
    Thanks!

    Hi Brian,

There are 75 pages of content in Volume 1. The target audience is anyone interested in learning more about developing database projects using Database Edition. It's not an advanced volume on database development - it's a volume about using Database Edition to develop SQL Server database projects.

I currently plan three volumes. Volume 2 is focused on Database Edition's facility for database testing and related functionality. Volume 3 will focus on Database Edition's support for Database Lifecycle Management and deployment.

Do you have any soft or hard deadlines for these volumes?
